Transformative Practice /Niet-houten bosproducten (NTFPs)
Ongeveer één op de zes mensen, met name vrouwen, is direct afhankelijk van bossen voor hun levens en levensonderhoud, en dan vooral met betrekking tot voedsel. Dit laat zien hoe belangrijk bossen en niet-houten bosproducten (Non-Timber Forest Products / NTFP's) zijn voor de veerkracht van gemeenschappen. Deze producten zijn voor hen een bron van voedsel, water en inkomsten, maar hebben ook een culturele en spirituele betekenis.

Transformative Practice /Analog Forestry
Analog forestry is een vernieuwende aanpak voor het ecologisch herstel van gedegradeerd land. Natuurlijke bossen worden gebruikt als voorbeeld voor ecologisch duurzame landschappen, die bijdragen aan de maatschappelijke en economische behoeftes van lokale gemeenschappen.

Dossier /Inclusieve wegen naar duurzaam en gezond voedsel voor iedereen
Overal ter wereld produceren kleinschalige boerinnen en boeren voedsel op een duurzame en inclusieve manier. Ze werken samen met de natuur en met elkaar, en voorzien hun gezinnen en gemeenschappen van voldoende en gezond voedsel. Deze manier van produceren staat echter overal onder druk door grootschalige landbouw en het wereldwijd dominante industriële voedselsysteem. Samen met onze partners
probeert Both ENDS het tij te keren ten gunste van duurzame, lokale praktijken die meestal 'agro-ecologisch' of 'natuurinclusief' worden genoemd. Waarom onze
focus daarop? Agro-ecologische praktijken zijn klimaatbestendig, inclusief en vergroten de mogelijkheden voor gemeenschappen overal ter wereld om duurzaam in hun voedsel te voorzien. -
Dossier /Rich Forests
Rich Forests promoot een duurzaam en toekomstbestendig productiesysteem en ondersteunt daartoe onder andere het omvormen van gedegradeerd land tot voedselbossen. Daarmee voorzien mensen in hun levensonderhoud, vergroten ze hun inkomsten en herstellen ze tegelijkertijd bodem en biodiversiteit.

With the Dare to Trust grant, the Taing Se Malu organization decided to purchase pigs that can be raised and increased in quantities by the women members of their organization. More importantly, through the grant, they formed a women’s group and a youth group to empower them in their pursuit of a more gender-just community.

Video / 23 december 2024Dare to Trust: LILAK supports women to start sustainable agriculture
Indigenous women in Didipio, Philippines, grew close to each other when confronting the mining corporation OceanaGold. Now they continue their struggle collectively in the women's group "Bileg Daggiti Babbai". With the help of LILAK they started a sustainable farming project, which helps them make a living to support their day to day needs and afford their children's education.
The project was made possible in Both ENDS's Dare to Trust project, supported by the Dutch Postcode Lottery.

Al meer dan dertig jaar werkt Both ENDS samen met partnerorganisaties over de hele wereld. Onze lange relaties met partners zijn gebaseerd op gedeelde waarden, respect en vertrouwen. Zo versterken we kennis, netwerken en maatschappelijke bewegingen, en zetten we ons gezamenlijk in voor een rechtvaardigere en duurzamere wereld. Wederzijds vertrouwen en respect betekenen ook dat we blijven innoveren met hoe de geldstromen lopen. Dare to Trust is daarin een nieuwe stap die Both ENDS en haar partners dit jaar hebben gezet.

Op de VN klimaattop van 2022 heeft Bhavya George, de coordinator klimaatverandering van onze partnerorganisatie Keystone Foundation een van de Gender Just Climate Solutions awards gewonnen. Haar project "Women Barefoot Ecologists", dat ook wordt gesteund door de Global Alliance for Green and Gender Action (GAGGA) won de prijs in de categorie "transformatieve oplossingen".

Both ENDS and the Land Portal Foundation invite you to the third webinar in the Whose Land? Inclusive Pathways to Land Governance series. This third Whose Land? webinar will showcase gender transformative approaches on women's land rights. Gender transformative approaches are defined by women acting as agents of change, transforming structural barriers and redefining gender norms. These approaches facilitate the participation of women in land governance decision-making processes, but require closing the land data gender gap.
