Indigenous women in Didipio, Philippines, grew close to each other when confronting the mining corporation OceanaGold. Now they continue their struggle collectively in the women's group "Bileg Daggiti Babbai". With the help of LILAK they started a sustainable farming project, which helps them make a living to support their day to day needs and afford their children's education.
The project was made possible in Both ENDS's Dare to Trust project, supported by the Dutch Postcode Lottery.
De Tweede Kamerverkiezingen zijn voorbij, het stof is enigszins neergedaald. Hoe het ook gaat eindigen, één ding valt op: het gaat in Nederland vooral over Nederland, het buitenland is nauwelijks een thema in de verkiezingen en de formatie. Sterker nog, sommige winnaars in de verkiezingen zouden zich het liefst juist verder afschermen van de wereld om ons heen.
Ons manifest "Het Nederlands landbouwakkoord gaat verder dan Nederland: bied duurzame boeren en consumenten wereldwijd perspectief" is inmiddels ondertekend door ruim 70 NGO's, boerenorganisaties, wetenschappers en bedrijven van over de hele wereld. Hieronder geven een aantal van hen hun motivatie hiervoor aan.
What does an economy look like that serves the well-being of people and the planet?
A wide range of great ideas about a transition to sustainable and just economic systems already exist, including ways to get there and examples that show that it is really possible. In this talkshow, we highlight some of these examples and hope to fuel the dialogue about this topic.

While agriculture and livestock food production in the world have become increasingly large-scale, industrial and ever more efficient for decades, the damage and inequality this food system causes is also becoming increasingly clear. Across the world, more and more people are therefore engaged in alternative, sustainable food production that ensures many generations to come to still have access to fertile, healthy land and clean water.
