Latin American partner organizations of GAGGA launched the campaign "We, women, are water" in March 2018. This video was launched as part of this campaign, and emphasizes the role of women in the sustainable management of water in Latin America.
The fifth session of our five part series on women's rights and climate finance, Experiences and Perspectives of Women Engaging in Climate Finance, shared the insights of three activists who have been serving as GCF Monitors as part of the "Women Demand 'Gender-Just' Climate Finance" initiative. They spoke about their processes of learning about climate finance and connecting with others to monitor climate finance in their communities and regions, discussed the value they have found in this work, and answered questions from webinar participants.
Gemeenschappen in het noorden van Guatemala hebben deze week een klacht ingediend bij de Inter-Amerikaanse ontwikkelingsbank IDB. Zij zijn de dupe van de bouw van twee grote dammen in de regio Ixquisis, mede gefinancierd door de IDB. Hierbij heeft de bank zich niet gehouden aan haar eigen regels op het gebied van milieu en duurzaamheid, inheemse volken, gender en transparantie.

Naar aanleiding van de Franse conceptstrategie ter bestrijding van geïmporteerde ontbossing (Strategie Nationale de Lutte Contre la Deforestation Importee – "SNDI") heeft Both ENDS samen met partners uit Indonesië, Maleisië, de Democratische Republiek Congo en het Verenigd Koninkrijk een collectieve visie voorgelegd aan de Franse regering.

Both ENDS is co-organising a double panel discussion 'Delta Dynamics: Dutch Masterplans and the SDGs' on June 26th. This is part of the conference 'Critical Perspectives on Governance by Sustainable Development Goals: Water, Food and Climate (25-26 June 2018)' organized by the Centre for Sustainable Development Studies at the University of Amsterdam. At the sessions Both ENDS' partners from Jakarta and Manila will be presenting.
