In verschillende landen in de Sahel heeft de plaatselijke bevolking grote stukken gedegradeerd land hersteld door spontaan opkomende spruiten van bomen te verzorgen. Zij doen dit volgens een techniek die 'Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration' (FMNR) genoemd wordt, oftewel 'door boeren beheerde natuurlijk regeneratie'.
In het hart van Liberia schrijft de Western Region Women Network Association (WERWONA) een verhaal over veerkracht, belangenbehartiging en transformatie. In september 2022 begon WERWONA — met steun van het Sustainable Development Institute, een partner van Both ENDS — aan haar missie vrouwelijke leiders en gemeenschappen in de county's Bomi, Grand Cape Mount en Gbarpolu te helpen hun rechten op land en natuurlijke grondstoffen terug te claimen. Dit laat zien hoe de samenwerking tussen Both ENDS en lokale organisaties bijdraagt aan positieve veranderingen in Liberia.

This third Whose Land? webinar will showcase gender transformative approaches on women's land rights. Gender transformative approaches are defined by women acting as agents of change, transforming structural barriers and redefining gender norms. These approaches facilitate the participation of women in land governance decision-making processes, but require closing the land data gender gap.

Both ENDS stuurde, mede namens FERN, NCIV en Milieudefensie, een brief aan staatssecretaris van Infrastructuur en Waterstaat Vivianne Heijnen over het MTCS keurmerk. Dit Maleisische keurmerk voor hout blijkt in de praktijk het schenden van inheemse landrechten en intimidatie van inheemse organisaties te gedogen. Nederland zou daarom oa de goedkeuring van MTCS in haar inkoopbeleid moeten opschorten.
Both ENDS werkt samen met partners wereldwijd aan inclusief landbeheer. We willen dat land op een eerlijke en inclusieve manier wordt beheerd en duurzaam wordt gebruikt, waarbij de rechten en belangen van lokale gemeenschappen centraal staan.
