Inspire inclusion at Women's day!

Happy Women's Day!

Friday March 8th we celebrate a gender equal world; free of stereotypes, bias, and discrimination. Around the world women are powers of change. We proudly present you; the voices of the next generation of environmental leaders of the JWH initiative. All our grantees are driving change in the environmental sector and have a strong say about the inclusive world.

In many countries, human rights are seriously violated, with women and indigenous communities often being hit the hardest. Together with our partners, Both ENDS works to safeguard human rights like the right to water and food, with special attention for the rights of women and the specific rights of indigenous people. The shrinking space for civil society and increasing oppression in many countries makes it ever more difficult for our partner organisations to operate. That’s why we advocate to make use of existing financial mechanisms such as environmental justice funds, women’s funds and feminist funds who are deeply rooted in the context, and know how to reach and support grassroots movements.

Joke Waller-Hunter Initiative

The Joke Waller-Hunter Initiative creates opportunities for young people in the environmental sector in developing countries to unfold their full potential. By providing small grants to individuals to expand their knowledge, experience and training, the Initiative aims to strengthen environmental Civil Society Organisations capacity and efficiency.
