Dutch Postcode Lottery

Since 2019, Both ENDS is a beneficiary of the Dutch Postcode Lottery. We use this unearmarked support to develop our organisation and to invest in innovative activities aligned with our strategy.

Due to the trust that the Postcode Lottery shows in our work, we have been able to start “Dare to Trust”, through which we’ve granted unearmarked financial support to 14 grassroots women’s groups around the world. Additionally, we’ve investigated our own power relation towards our partner organisations, developed a system of care for partner organisations in trouble, and worked on the strengthening of our own organisation.

The Dutch Postcode Lottery has also given extra support to specific projects, like GAGGA’s Autonomy and Resilience Fund and All Eyes on the Amazon.

About the Dutch Postcode Lottery

The National Postcode Lottery was founded in 1989 to support charities working towards a fair, healthy and green world. The lottery raises funds for its charities and promotes their work. More than 3 million people participate in the Postcode Lottery.

Everyone wins

In the Postcode Lottery, your postcode is your lottery number. And that number sets something positive in motion. Every month, participants and their neighbours who also play have a chance to win hundreds of thousands of prizes. At the same time, they support more than 150 charities with at least 40% of the ticket price each year. That is what we call The Power of Postcodes. Since the Postcode Lottery was founded, €8.4 billion has been donated to people and nature. Both ENDS and many other organisations receive support every year.

Postcode Lottery Group

The Postcode Lottery is part of the Postcode Lottery Group, a social enterprise that has now introduced the unique Postcode Lottery format in five European countries. The aim is to raise as much money as possible for good causes through our lotteries. The Postcode Lottery Group is the largest fundraising donor in the world. In 2024, it donated a record amount of €969 million to charities and cultural partners. The shares of the Postcode Lottery Group are 100% owned by a foundation.
