First sustainably produced orchid for Minister Cramer

Life & Garden, a Dutch national garden centre, will be presenting the first sustainably produced orchid to Minister Cramer, the Dutch Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning on January 26.

The orchid carries the Fair Flowers Fair Plants (FFP) label. This label guarantees consumers that they're buying ecologically- and socially sustainable flowers and plants. These flowers and plants are produced with care for the environment and good labour conditions for employees. Both ENDS is co-founder of FFP. In fact, Sjef Langeveld (Both ENDS' former Director) will be present at the presentation.

FFP is a platform for producers, traders, unions and NGOs to meet and discuss the sustainability within the chain. As partner, Both ENDS mainly focuses on the protection of the environment, human rights and the recognition of local unions and NGOs.

FFP flowers and plants were introduced to the Dutch market at the beginning of the year, making sustainable FFP certified flowers and plants available to a broad Dutch public.
