Mariken Radstaat is a multi-talented professional who has a lot of experience with strategic processes of change and with operationalising them. She works with Stedin in the Rotterdam region on the transition from fossil to renewable energy. Her role is to ensure that Stedin builds the capacity needed to make such a long-term change process sustainable.
Mariken has a broad (Human Resources) experience in dynamic (international) organisations in different sectors. After completing her studies in Social Sciences in Utrecht, she joined Easychip, a pioneering company, where she discovered that working towards results together with a team gives her a lot of energy. After that she worked 10 years at the Rabobank in various HR roles, then built a HR Shared Service Centre at Danone / Nutricia, and now works at the Stedin Netwerk Groep.
In 2006, she had the opportunity to represent the Rabobank Group at the international development program of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development. There, she became aware of the impact you can have when working on sustainable business.
Driven by personal interest, a sense of responsibility and the belief that change starts with yourself, she tries to contribute to a better world wherever possible:
"Last year, I decided to focus more on sustainability. This combined with the fact that I want to gain more administrative experience led to taking up this board position at Both ENDS. With my passion, energy and joy, my connective vision of change processes and my ability to ask the right questions at the right moment, I hope I can contribute to the beautiful goals that Both ENDS aims for."
